As the Communications Manager for the Michigan State University Foundation and its subsidiaries, Richard is responsible for clear communications, brand perception development, team leadership, and public relations. A committed storyteller, he strives to connect and engage audiences with vibrant content.
Across his career, Richard has garnered extensive experience in strategic communications, editing and publishing, graphic design and typography, creative and technical writing, research, teaching, curriculum development, and the curation of original web and social media content. Richard is passionate about creating positive, nurturing live/work/play environments, which in turn fuels the work he does on behalf of MSU’s inventors and entrepreneurs.
Richard received his Master of Fine Arts in creative writing from Colorado State University and his Bachelor of Arts in English and Literature from Central Michigan University.
